Education and training

Seedlings

Commencing in 2011, the former Temora Ag Research Centre will be managed by the Temora Shire Council and will be a centre for agriculture. The aim of the centre is to demonstrate, educate and train members of the agricultural community. Agritech Crop Research will be the trial co-operator for the site and it is envisaged the site will be a hub for regional field days and grower information days.

There are no limits as to what can be showcased at the centre. Industry participants will benefit by being able to showcase new technology via research and market development demonstrations in a hands-on extension and learning environment while maintaining all intellectual property rights. The site is a high profile location in the centre of the South West Slopes cropping belt with good climatic reliability. This will maximise exposure for all research to growers and industry representatives.
