Peter Hamblin B.Sc - Managing Director

Pete opened the doors to Agritech NSW in May 2000 after identifying a need for an independent provider of ag research in NSW. Prior to Agritech, Pete worked with Bayer Crop Science for 11 years conducting field trials in South Australia and southern NSW. Pete has extensive experience in trial design and management in horticultural and broad acre crops. Pete also has significant project management experience.

Over the past 22 years, Pete has established an extensive network of agronomists, researchers and trial co-operators in Eastern Australia. He has established a well deserved reputation for Agritech by making a difference to trial programs and getting results. Pete and the committed team at Agritech provide sound field research. In his role as Managing Director, Pete is continually exploring new business and research opportunities. He is responsible for managing the overall financial requirements of Agritech as well as overseeing the southern trial operations for Young, Wagga and Naracoorte.

Sue McGregor B.Ag.Sc - Director

Sue is a partner and director of Agritech. She has been involved in broad acre agriculture since 1992, holding agronomy positions in the private and public sector. Sues role has evolved with the business and now Sue has sole responsibility for Human Resource and OH & S Compliance for the company. Sue also co-ordinates training and professional development for staff and facilitates the communications and marketing of the business. Sue, an integral member of the 3 person management team, has a strong network of grower and industry contacts and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Julianne Corbett - Finance Manager

Julianne started with Agritech in 2005 and from the Young office manages the financial and administration aspects for Agritech. Julianne always has a smile and deals directly with all clients for invoicing and account payments. Julianne is responsible for payroll and superannuation, insurances and all vehicle/machinery financing. Julianne plays an integral role in the maintenance of our quoting templates and works with the management team for all budgeting requirements. Julianne is instrumental in monitoring and maintaining our financial systems.

Sally O'Keeffe - Administrative Officer

Sally is the most recent addition to the Young office commencing in late 2010. Sally works with Julianne in finance and administration. Sally looks after accounts payable and handles the financial and resource requirements of staff and suppliers on a daily basis. Sally also looks after general office administration and manages all incoming and outgoing correspondence and inventory. Sal is always happy to help with any request.

Rob Presser B.App.Sc.Ag - Field Operations Manager

Rob has established a fantastic reputation as being a leader in the field for Plant Breeding Trials. As the senior agronomist of the field team, he is responsible for Field Operations for all agronomy and breeding trials out of the Young Office. Rob has been managing trials in NSW, Vic and SA with Agritech since 2003 and prior to that managed a breeding trial program in WA. Rob coordinates the logistics and ensures all client demands are conducted in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Rob has an excellent reputation in the breeding organisations for his attention to detail, his willingness to go the extra mile, and the quality of his work.

Geoff Davis B.App.Sc. - Research Agronomist

Geoff has been with Agritech since 2008 and manages his own suite of field trials. Geoff enjoys the summer horticultural trials and working with insects and disease in the winter program. Geoff is our in house expert on ARM - our data management software. He is constantly exploring ways to improve our data recording, management and reporting. Geoff has great communication skills and is constantly updating clients on the progress of their trials on a regular basis. Geoff likes asking questions and finding the answers and is constantly updating his knowledge on local crop and horticultural issues.

Sarah Clarry - Research Assistant

Sarah commenced on a casual basis with Agritech in 2010 after a career in communications and management in Sydney. Sarah recently completed a post graduate diploma in Grains Production from UNE and is keen to immerse herself in broad acre agriculture. Sarah is a keen and very capable field assistant and is working towards running her own trials. Currently Sarah is developing protocols, conducting in field assessments and assisting in the preparation of final reports.

Peter Hines - Research Technician

Peter Hines has been with Agritech since 2001. Formerly a local farmer, Petes role is to support the research agronomists. Pete is responsible for all aspects of trial maintenance including pegging, site selection, sowing, weed control and harvest. Pete operates with integrity and demonstrates exceptional trial hygiene and maintains faultless records. As one of the senior members of the Agritech team, Pete regularly shares his wisdom and knowledge with the younger staff. He has an amazing singing voice and is a true gentleman.

Michael Corbett - Research Technician

Michael grew up on a farm locally before embarking into a career as a boiler maker. He joined Agritech in 2010 after a long career in the construction and structural steel industry. His last 7 years he worked as the Operations Manager at a local seed cleaning and treatment plant that specialised in most herbicide tolerant canola varieties. Michael has sound practical skills and machinery knowledge that meet the requirements for sowing, spraying, maintaining and harvesting trials. Michael is also responsible for header and seeder servicing and maintenance.
